Orthodontists attending this year’s AAO Annual Session can preview two new tools aimed at enhancing patient interaction and practice visibility, both developed by Tim Wigal, DDS, MS, a practicing orthodontist and inventor.
At Booth #627, Wigal will unveil DesignerTies, a subscription-based marketing and engagement program, and Braces By You, a customizable patient-facing mobile app. These offerings aim to support orthodontic practices in strengthening patient connections both in the office and through digital platforms.
DesignerTies provides 10 themed engagement kits annually. Each kit includes seasonally styled ligature ties, promotional content, and social media materials. The subscription is priced at $299 per month. The program is designed to promote ongoing engagement and streamline in-office marketing efforts.
Braces By You, which runs at $599 per month, offers patients a more interactive treatment experience. The app allows users to design their smile in 3D, monitor progress, access educational videos, and earn rewards via gamification. Practices receive a complimentary iPad with a 1-year commitment.
